Scatola movimento centrale d'artigano | Tretlagergehaeuse - Rahmenbau-Liebe Im Detail (Handwerkskunst) | elaborate bottom bracket shells

Spirito Godio

was a professional rider from 1938 to 1955 riding also for Bianchi, in '42 and '49; after retiring from races, he started his own buisness in Borgomanero, not far from Milan, becoming soon the frame builder for all the riders in his region.
If the frame is from the 60s it might have been upgraded in the 70s with cable guides on the top tubes and on the bottom bracket shell.
Engraved on the bottom bracket shell and the fork steerer: "S.G. 62" which could mean Spirito Godio 1962

Seat tube: 60 cm
Top tube: 61 cm
Head tube: 17 cm

Beautiful Dino Zanella (Castione di Zoppola in Pordenone) with fast-back seatstays...
introduced/inspired by Santino (Pogliaghi's) technical director from '72 Francesco Freschi!
is it the same Zanella from Freschi???
Dino Zanella is also said to have worked for Colnago...

Zanella himself was an employee of Freschi (responsible for the filing) next to Aldo Invernizzi for soldering. Beside the outsourced frame builders, commonly called terzisti, for foreign orders and amateur teams, soldered by Renato Negri and Anotnio Mondonico, who both took over original ideas of Freschi for their own frames (seatstay cluster and shift cable routing...)!

mid 80s Zanella Special
Looks like Columbus Air fork crown and flat - aero seatstays - also Columbus Air!
Campagnolo 1010/B short drop-outs

the original panto Campagnolo Nuovo Record crank is from 1973.... but the Zanella panto seat-pillar / seat-post is the 4th and last Generation of Campagnolo Super Record from '85-'87 (fully polished seat post, matte saddleclamp and shorter "flutes") as the Campagnolo Nuovo Record rear derailleur, is last Generation too, without any PAT.

and flat aero seatstays - Columbus Air alike!

i guess obviously

not a

Paganini was the shop brand of one of the absolute top class traditional bicycle shops of Belgium. Plum Ghent is actually one of the most renowned bike shops in the world. They became famous, selling their Plum Vainqueur racing bikes. But when Italian steel dominated the market, they established the brand Paganini.
