Danke, interessant. Ich kannte nur aktuelle Handbücher wo Montage-Paste ausdrücklich anzuwenden ist, zum Beispiel Canyon.Nö.
Trek:
"However, with a headset there is movement of the parts. In normal usage of a threadless headset there is some slight movement of the compression ring relative to the steerer. This movement occurs when you hit a bump or apply the front brake. Normally, the movement of the compression ring does not hurt the fork. However, if there is carbon paste between the compression ring and a carbon steerer, the paste works like an abrasive to remove carbon material from the steerer. If enough material is removed, this could lead to breakage of the steerer. (...) All Trek publications will be amended to say that carbon paste should never be applied to the steerer."
Specialized:
"WARNING! Do not apply carbon assembly compound (carbon paste) between the stem and the steerer tube. Application of carbon
paste to the stem/steerer tube interface may result in a catastrophic failure of the fork, resulting in serious personal injury or death."
Bianchi:
"WARNING! Do not use carbon assembly compound (carbon paste) between stem and steering tube."
Art's Cyclery (Ask a Mechanic):
"When it comes to carbon steerers there is little need for the additional friction that carbon paste provides, as it is very rare that anyone encounters a situation on a road bike where your front wheel is being pushed hard in a direction opposite to the direction you are turning the handlebars. The exception is during a crash. In this situation it’s better to have the stem slip on the steerer to lessen the amount of force transmitted to the steerer tube.
The other concern with applying carbon paste to steerer tubes is that the paste could make its way into the headset where it could grind down moving parts and possibly wear the steerer where the compression split ring interfaces with the steerer."
