1971 Paramount _ Campagnolo Rally derailleur.
This derailleur replaced Campagnolo's terrible "Gran Turismo" which was basically the Velox style with a longer pulley cage with massive steel pusher plates which really did not help it to shift over larger cogs. It weighed a ton and shifted consistently badly just because of its inferior basic design.
The Rally offers design references to the Nuovo Record derailleur in the style of the outer parallelogram cage plate, but it was an entirely different concept. This was the first and ONLY Campagnolo derailleur of the 1970s with a second spring at the upper pivot bolt and a dropped parallelogram cage. It shifts well. It reminds me of typical
Shimano long cage Crane GS or Titlist derailleurs of the era which both shifted about the same.
