AW: mein Rossin
Hier mal 2 Mails von Mario Rossins Sohn die ich mit seinem Einverständnis hier reinsetzen darf:
1.) Hi Jörg,
first of all I thank you for your appreciation about my dad's work. I
showed him the pictures of the bike, asking him some information about it.
The bike was built between 1976 and 1977 and it was named "Montreal" because
of the olympic games, that took place in 1976 in the Canadian town.
My father told me that series was used by Italian professional cycling team
Itla GBC. I attached two photos of some athletes belonging to the team
(Vittorio Algeri is the most famous of them).
My dad is really pleased that many people around the world still like his
work.
Hope you will enjoy so much your new ride
2.)
Hi Jörg,
my father told me that the new logo was introduced in 1978, after losing a legal controversy against Rossignol, the Italian ski factory. Our "R" was too similar to theirs, so Rossin switched to the second logo, which is, in my opinion, even better than the older one.
Unfortunately we don't have any memorabilia of Itla GBC or of any other team... I'm sorry.
